Our Mission
VETOGA is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, based in Washington, D.C. and founded on May 6, 2015, by Marine Corps Veteran turned Yoga Instructor, Justin Blazejewski. VETOGA’s mission is to provide yoga, meditation, and healing arts to military, veterans, their families, and communities. We accomplish this by holding free monthly yoga classes, events and veteran specific 200-Hour Teacher Trainings throughout the year.
We have trained 100+ teachers so far through our program from all over the United States.
This teacher training equips veterans with the holistic tools and teachings to pass on the healing benefits of yoga to their veteran communities.
Through this work we enable and encourage veterans to create harmony and peace for themselves as well as others, allowing them to continue their service in a more peaceful way.
The Vision
BUILDING SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES
VETOGA seeks to build sustainable communities by bringing the healing aspects of yoga to veterans, their families, and communities. We provide access to a range of healing modalities to facilitate healthy minds, bodies and spirits. Sustainable communities are created through our 200-Hour Teacher Trainings. Teacher Trainings equip veterans with the holistic tools and teachings to continue to pass on the healing power of yoga.
